Diablo 4 players looking to maximize their XP farming experience can expect some positive changes to the game's Nightmare Dungeons. Developers recently discussed these updates during the first Diablo 4 Campfire Chat, outlining how they plan to make Nightmare Dungeons more appealing and rewarding for dedicated players.

Game Director Joe Shely confirmed that Nightmare Dungeons were initially designed to be highly replayable and a great place to farm. However, since the game's official launch on June 6, many players have found alternative, more efficient methods to grind for experience and loot. To address this issue, the developers have decided to implement some key changes to make Nightmare Dungeons a more attractive option for players.

Firstly, an XP buff will be added to Nightmare Dungeons, allowing players to earn more experience compared to other means of farming. Additionally, in order to further enhance the appeal of these dungeons, the developers plan to reduce the travel time required to access them. This will be achieved by modifying the functionality of Sigils, which will create waypoints that directly teleport players to Nightmare Dungeons, thus increasing the experience and loot gained per hour.

Shely also mentioned that players would be able to loop between Nightmare Dungeons without having to travel, further streamlining the experience. The development team is currently working hard on implementing these changes before Season 1 launches in mid-to-late July.

This is not the first time that Diablo 4 has made adjustments to its dungeons. Community Lead Adam Fletcher revealed during the Campfire Chat that the game had already implemented four dungeon-centric hotfixes in a row, demonstrating the developers' commitment to continuously improving the game for their dedicated player base.
