Cyberpunk 2077 Saved a Place at the Top 100 Top Sellers List on Steam in 2021
28 Dec 2021
The year is finishing, and many companies are already releasing annual statistics about their success. Likewise, after recent stat information from Valve, it has been revealed that Cyberpunk 2077 takes a pretty noticeable place in the list of top-selling games on Steam in 2021. Despite a rough start, CD Projekt Red’s product is turning out to be quite successful for the developers.
As was expected, the list is headed by such games like Valheim, Naraka: Bladepoint, and New World, as all of them have expansive donation system which brings revenue from every gamer; nevertheless, people were surprised to see Cyberpunk at the Silver section of the Top 100 top sellers by revenue because the game concludes only one transaction before the start.
You can also spot Resident Evil Village and Age of Empires 4 among Silver section contestants, these two have a history of good reviews and impressions on the users, so it must be pleasing for CD Projekt Red to see Cyberpunk 2077 in that chart. The game also reached over 200,000 concurrent players, and those numbers are impressive no matter how you look at them.
It was quite a year for Cyberpunk since its release. The company suffered $51 million refund requests, and the modified and complete version of the game is yet to be expected. Cyberpunk 2077 also probably won’t be available on a subscription service for some time. Right now, the game can be purchased for PC, PS4, Google Stadia, and Xbox One. There is no definite news for the PS5 and Xbox Series X/S yet, but maybe some changes will be made in 2022.
It is an interesting end of the year 2021, and CD Projekt Red can make its conclusions on Cyberpunk 2077 now. Hopefully, we will see an improved version of the game in 2022.
