CD Projekt Red game developers well-known for their ambitious Witcher game revealed that the newly acquired The Molasses Flood has their own task.  Whether it is the Witcher game or Cyberpunk 2077 is still unknown. However, it is likely that The Molasses Flood is working on one of them.

According to Adam Kicinsk, the head of Polish company CD Projekt, they are always looking for professional game developers who put their heart into games. He said that both companies are sharing a passion for games. Kicinsk describes The Molasses Flood as experienced and oriented for a high-quality team with great professionals. According to him, CD Projekt will benefit from the work with the new professionals.

The Molasses Flood is a Boston-based games developer. They were founded in 2014 after the Irrational Games were closed. Their most known works are The Flame in the Flood released in 2016 and Drake Hollow in 2020. On October 22, CD Projekt Red confirmed that they acquired The Molasses Flood on their official Twitter page. The statement said that the company will work on its own new projects instead of CD Projekt Red’s ones.

Forrest Dowling, the head of the studio said that The Molasses Flood was happy to start common work with CD Projekt Red. They believe that this collaboration provides a wide opportunity to work with a bigger audience. He noticed that they are excited to work with the worlds they love. It looks like the studio is ready to take on the challenge.
