TikTok Adds “Green Screen Duet” and Other New Features

How to make short videos on TikTok even more spectacular? Now the Chinese social giant offers new tools for content makers. Expanding the functionality of its popular tools, TikTok lets you create masterpieces right on your mobile devices. Now it rolls out new effects for makers and new tools for devoted watchers. 

The first one is Green Screen Duet that lets users combine two videos, taking the already-familiar Green Screen effect to a new level. Now you can substitute your background with a video, not a static image. The limitation is that the background video should also be taken from TikTok. Will you require the permission from the author of the original? Morally yes, technically no. So the new feature may result in millions of users adding themselves to already very popular clips, as well as stars offering their fans a new sort of contest. 

The second new feature is about consuming content rather than creating, and it’s called Topics. With it, you can discover new videos within a certain category only.
