TikTok Will Now Offer ‘Pulse’ Program to Provide Creator Monetization Image

It’s not a secret that TikTok is currently one of the most popular social media platforms. At the same time, there has been one significant thing missing for creators — proper monetization. Luckily for active users of TikTok, the situation is about to change completely.

Recently, TikTok announced that the developers decided to introduce the so-called Pulse program. The goal of this initiative is to allow advertisers to include ads for the most popular videos in the app. At the same time, this Pulse program will also give a share to the creators of such videos. In such a way, video creators don’t have to collaborate with brands directly, but they can still earn revenue.

The way the system works is that advertisers can select from 4% of the most popular video creators each day. The most popular videos are determined based on engagement and views so that brands know that their ads will be shown to the maximum number of people.

Another thing to mention is that advertisers can look through 12 categories of videos where they can place ads. The options include ‘fashion,’ ‘video games,’ ‘beauty,’ and more. To ensure that brands don’t have reputational problems, any ads that they place will appear only next to content verified by TikTok.

According to the company, only creators that have at least 100k followers are eligible for TikTok Pulse. It is likely that TikTok won’t stop on this program, as they are ‘focused on developing monetization solutions.’ It is obvious that monetization has been a missing step for TikTok and now it’s likely to attract even more creators.

What do you think about this monetization system? What other additional tools may be necessary for creators? Please, share your thoughts in the comment section below.
