Twitter Teams Are Going to Focus on App Success
09 Jun 2022
After Elon Musk’s claims to purchase Twitter, some changes are already coming to the app. Hiring has been profusely stopped and leaders of consumer product Kayvon Beykpour and revenue side Bruce Falck have been fired by Parag Agrawal, Twitter CEO. The new head of product Jay Sullivan has stated that new features will come under his hand.
Firstly, Twitter teams will be dedicated more to the personalization of the platform, making the app more engaging with the users. The developers want to focus on bringing out positive changes to the community, leaving audio Spaces and newsletters. Team construction will be revised to be more effective in their work. Previously, Twitter has had a goal to successfully pass such apps as Patreon, Clubhouse, and Substack. In addition, there were some challenges with Facebook, but as the said platform slowly died down, there was no competition.
No exact features were announced so far, only future lineups for the app. Of course, everybody is still waiting for the editing button, as many users complain about its lack. What is surprising is that some tests have already taken place, and we can expect that edits will probably be available only for a certain time after you’ve posted your content. Editing history will also be available through a personal profile.
Not so long ago, Twitter stated that TweetDeck for Mac will be going away. It might be a part of the upcoming changes, but it is not confirmed. Moreover, we’ve already heard about future features that might hold some impact for the users – Twitter Circles connected with your Instagram account and Birdwatch for fact-checking.
