Back in 2014, The Sims 4 brought the realism of the characters to the next level compared to other games. The problem is that the developers have definitely slowed down when it comes to offering customization features.

In April of 2022, the Sims introduced a two-tone hairstyle, and also the developers added some skin tones and tattoo options. The changes are definitely not huge, so there are a lot of ways the customization can be taken to the next level.

So, what are the options that developers can offer to players? Firstly, it would be a great idea to have more color alternatives when it comes to hair. For instance, the two-tone hairstyle is limited to specific colors, so it would be great if this selection could be extended.

When it comes to the customization of males in the game, there is a lot of space for improvement. There should be a wider selection of choices when it comes to both hairstyles and body hair. Despite the fact that the community has already created many mods, not all players use them. Such mods can be used by developers to get ideas as to what exactly players want to see in the game.

Another significant improvement that a lot of players would enjoy is expanding the traits of Sims. There should be more depth when it comes to personalities and it could be a good idea to bring back negative Sim qualities that can add more fun to the game. The Sims 4 is quite limited in this regard compared to The Sims 3, which offers a lot more interesting traits and a more dynamic inner world of characters.

In May, fans may expect to be more customization, but it’s unlikely that the changes will be significant. Adding the mentioned features would have definitely created a more realistic gaming experience. The game is currently available for PS5, PS4, PC, Xbox Series X/S, and Xbox One.
