30 Sep 2021
WhatsApp is working on a feature dubbed Expand. It will allow connecting multiple gadgets to a single account.
The app is keeping a new feature in the workshop still. This know-how will allow iOS and Android users to access the same WA account from different gizmos. As of now, the features are available for WhatsApp Web, Pcs and laptops, as well as Facebook Portal.
The feature enables users to access WhatsApp from “extra” gadgets. The idea is especially handy when you realize that your primary phone is dead or lost all connection whatsoever.
The messenger may also automatically search for Android tablets and iPads, as they’d be the first candidates to access your WhatsApp account, in case the phone is kaput.
Nonetheless, we can see cell phones run by Android and iOS getting the full support of the feature, which would really kill some pain in the neck for many users. Yes, it’s expected that your spare phone can also be connected with the help of Expand.
At the moment, WhatsApp allows easy and painless access to your account via the browser. After you synchronize the browser extension with the phone, you can use it at any time from the desktop, even if the phone battery is dead.
Apart from Expand, WhatsApp is also busy improving the voice message feature. Now, you can find a specific VM much faster due to a special dot indicator that will mark each waveform that exists within the chat.
For now, WhatsApp for Android beta 2.21.20.6 is where this new trick is available. Although, it was also reported that WA beta release 2.21.20.3 has that intriguing feature as well.
WhatsApp seems to regain its title of the innovative messenger that it once used to be. What other features would you like to see in WhatsApp? Which messaging app is your all-time favorite? Let us know in the comments!
