Witcher 3 Rocks a New Lighting Mode
20 Oct 2021
Witcher 3 — the fantasy RPG about demon-hunting — has received a new lighting mode, which takes its visuals to another level of sharpness.
The Phoenix Lighting Mod Ultimate version 7.0 makes the world of Witcher 3 even more picturesque than it was before. By fiddling with the Feainn light, it gives a new color to the swamps, forests, icy mountains, and rugged shores of the Great Sea.
Apart from Phoenix, there are also about 50 other lighting modes rolled out by Digital Dreams. You can check Phoenix in this YouTube preview, which highlights the classic gameplay of The Witcher 3: Wild Hunt.
Interestingly, critics and casual players agree that these modes are far more superior if compared to the original game developed by CD Projekt Red.
And frankly speaking, some of them are pretty skeptical that the next Witcher’s installment will be able to outshine the Phoenix mode.
Witcher 3 has already spanned a good deal of fan-made mode, even though it has a lot of catching up with those made for Skyrim.
In them, you can enjoy a mind-clearing meditation, travel on a sailboat with a warm orange lamp attached to it, replay boss fights with the slow-motion effect, focus on playing Gwent (the local analog of Texas hold ‘em), or hunt for kick-ass screenshots in the PhotoMode.
To install these mods, you will need Nexus Mod Manager, Mod Merger, and Debug Console Enabler. Unfortunately, most of the fan-made mods focus on tweaking certain parameters or adding a few handy, but minor options to the gameplay.
At the same time, there’s a rich leeway for the action-filled mods that are yet to be designed. Anyone who’s interested in game production is welcome to try their skills and creativity with the Witcher 3 universe.
Phoenix Lighting Mod Ultimate shows how stunning the saga of monster-slaying can look. Hopefully, the game authors will take notes for future releases.
